DIVINATION TOWER
DIVINATION TOWER

As you climb the long, spiral staircase, you’re greeted by the scent of incense, tea and coffee. Through a secure wooden door, you enter into the dimly lit Divination Tower, which looks a great deal more like a large sitting room than a classroom. The walls are lined with books, shelves of tea cups, various charts and a lot of eclectic decorating.
Mr. Chettri is usually here all day, and rarely wanders outside. He’s very familiar with his dedicated Divination students, and gives senior students a copy of the key to the tower so they can have access whenever they need it. He has no objection to Divination students hanging out in the tower and working on other things, as long as they’re quiet and respectful. Mr. Chettri is painfully shy, and gets visibly agitated when students he doesn’t know are brought up into the tower. It’s probably better if you don’t invite your friends up.

Divination Methods
- Tarot: If you select to do a tarot reading, the mods will generate a spread (there’s a particular app we’re using for this; results are randomized) for you and tell you what your character received and some basic meanings behind the cards. The mods will still roll on the chart to see if your reading holds any hints about the meta plot. If it does, we will highlight the card(s) you should focus on.
- Tea Leaves: If you choose to read your tea leaves, the mods will roll on the chart, and give you a description of your results. Tea leaves are most likely to get you accurate results about mundane plot calendar events.
- Scrying: If you choose to scry in a crystal ball, the mods will roll on the chart, and give you a description of your results, with a handicap modifier. Scrying is least likely to give you good results, but most likely to give a very clear vision.
- Other: If your character has another method by which they like to do readings, it will just get a flat, unmodified roll on the table. You can suggest certain outcomes may be more likely than others, but it’s at our discretion. You can’t suggest your method is more likely to get metaplot hints.
Results Table
| 1 | Bad omen. Something unfortunate will befall you. |
| 2–25 | The results seem to hold no meaning. |
| 26–35 | Something about school. |
| 36–50 | Something about friends. |
| 51–65 | Something about love. |
| 66–80 | Mod's choice! Could be anything on the table. |
| 81–90 | Something about the plot calendar. |
| 91–99 | Something about the metaplot. |
| 100 | Good omen. Something good will happen to you. |
How This Works
- Reply to this post with the form below, and wait for the mods to get back to you.
- Keep in mind, these take the mods some time to compose, and Divination requires some planning on our part. You may have to wait up to a week for results.
- Please don’t ask for too many readings. If the mods feel overwhelmed, we may end up putting strict limits on how many readings per month each character can do.
- Students not in Divination can’t ask for readings. Sorry.
- Senior Divination students have a key to the Divination Tower and can use it as a study or hang out space. Inviting students not in Divination makes poor Mr. Chettri uncomfortable. :(

Character: Only Divination students are allowed.
Time/Date and Location: When and where the reading will be performed.
Method: Which divination method are they using? If they’re using a method not defined on this page, give a brief description. We may add it to the list if it becomes popular, or is just neat. Certain methods may be restricted to a particular character.
The Question: What do they ask?
Desired Results: What results does the character want? What results do you, the player, want? With more mundane requests or requests that would help with personal subplots, the mods are likely to just give it to you.
Any Other Requests: Anything else?
